Overview
This certificate recognizes our project “OpenCV-based Intelligent Steel Material Counting System”, which won the First Prize in the Northwest Regional Division of the China Undergraduate Computer Design Competition (2022).
The project applied classical computer vision techniques to improve industrial material recognition and automated counting workflows.
My Role
- Developed the OpenCV image-processing pipeline, including contour detection, thresholding, and multi-object counting logic.
- Led the algorithm optimization and accuracy evaluation for steel material identification.
- Collaborated on system integration and co-presented the project during the competition evaluation.
- Contributed to the documentation and demonstration materials for the judging panel.
Outcome
Our team was awarded the First Prize (一等奖) in the regional competition, recognizing both the technical innovation and high-performance implementation of the developed system.
